Baltimore County is
fortunate to have a number of historic properties within its
borders.
Some of these properties are being preserved with the help of
the National Park Service,
Maryland Department of Natural
Resources,
Baltimore County Department of Recreation and
Parks,
Sponsors, and Donors.
At this time the Historic Long
Island Farm (HLIF) is maintained solely by the present owner
with help
from HLIF. Inc (a non-profit 501(c)(3) corp. dedicated to the stewardship
of this property, Sponsors and Donors. The present owner is
requesting that Baltimore County "partner" with Maryland Program Open
Space in buying Long Island Farm and leasing it to HLIF, Inc.
HLIF,
Inc. is actively soliciting Sponsors and Donors for tax deductible
contributions

Mission Statement
The mission of Historic Long Island Farm, Inc.
(HILF),
a volunteer, non-profit corporation, is to assume
responsibility for the stewardship
of the historical, agricultural,
architectural, educational and environmental assets
of Long Island
Farm. In addition, HLIF will mobilize the citizens and resources
of
Baltimore County and the State of Maryland for the purpose of
protecting
and preserving the overall rural integrity and natural
environment of
Historic Long Island Farm.
